MILKCRATE LISTENS

We want to continue to encourage more conversations about mental health, particularly within the restaurant and hospitality industries.

Mental Health is something we take very seriously at Milkcrate.

‘MilkCrate Listens’ is our way to engage with you, answer any questions, and help you navigate any difficulties you may be experiencing. For example, maybe you’re feeling stressed or stuck in the weeds, maybe you’re unsure how to talk with a manager or supervisor, or how to advocate for yourself in the workplace. We would love to hear from you, and are happy to share our experiences and thoughts.

All submissions to ‘Milkcrate listens’ will be treated respectfully and are strictly confidential. That said, we may ask your permission to anonymously share your question in a general sense, so that others can benefit from you sharing your experience and the ensuing conversation. We use the ALGEE framework when engaging in these types of conversations, which allows for a solid understanding based on 5 basic actions:

Assess the risk of suicide and/or harm
Listen non-judgmentally
Give reassurance
Encourage professional support
Encourage other supports

If you have questions, feel free and safe to reach out. We’re here to listen but also to connect you to resources that can help. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger or distress please contact:
